While out of school, home from work and social distancing, there is still much we can do to learn, share and co-create a safer, healthier, more just world — here on the Turning Green Classroom interactive web platform. In unprecedented times, we are called to action to do all we can to protect and safeguard ourselves, our children, our communities, our planet. Throughout Earth Month, #TGClassroom will inform and inspire students and families alike, meeting remote learning needs with a 30-day lesson plan of simple, fun, impactful opportunities to dive into and champion eco and health-conscious activities.
Turning Green remains committed to educating and mobilizing the next generation around environmental and public health, positive social change and youth leadership, as we have since launching our student-led global movement in 2005 — and now with this collaborative way to channel time and energy toward the greater good. We are proud to continue to show up with and for each other and the earth, especially around the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. Together, we will think, research, create and connect our ideas to see how diverse individuals and collectives across the country and world are engaging, innovating and rising to heal and sustain people and planet. Even in the face of hardship and uncertainty, we can all take action #TogetherApart.
